As this is the most northern and the highest Gevrey vineyard, it was particularly successful in warm 2009, as well as in 2003. It has a mineral, very distinctive character, full of flavour and oozing quality. It is worth remembering that Fourrier believes in 'pigeages' but no 'remontages' - why practise the latter when you have gravity, says Jean-Marie Fourrier? Why indeed, if this wine is the result.
