The Tank Automatique ref. 17011 'Jumbo' stands as a remarkable rarity crafted by Cartier, increasing collectability over time.
Manufactured only for a brief period during the 1970s, these larger Tank wristwatches left a lasting impression. Intriguingly, the original Tank automatique 'Jumbo' was offered in two sizes: the 'Jumbo' ref. 17011 as the present model and the larger 'Jumbo XL' ref. 17002. Featuring a straightforward yet dependable ETA-based time-only movement, and a case back designed to seamlessly accommodate the movement in a distinctive bubble configuration. This design approach aimed to eliminate excess material while preserving the Tank's signature minimalist aesthetic.
This watch is offered in good and authentic condition including a Cartier Paris dial very typical of that period.
