The Rolex Submariner Reference 6536 stands among some of the most important and desirable Rolex models ever produced.

Like the 6538, the two references are so similar, that they are both often nicknamed the ‘James Bond’ although strictly speaking the 6536 never appeared in the film.

Pre-dating the introduction of crown guards, the 6536 is characterised by its thinner profile and small crown, further enhancing its elegance.

This example has been preserved in attractive overall condition. Its dial has the signature 100 m = 330 ft depth indication printed in silver, while the rest of the inscriptions are gilt. The indexes have a warm patina.

The case retains strong and attractive proportions with visible bevels and is fitted on a highly collectible riveted bracelet made by C&I for Rolex USA.

Combining rarity with vintage and sport character, this timepiece is a great opportunity for the collector looking to acquire an attractive and qualitative early Rolex Submariner.
