Franck Muller was born in 1958 and is regarded as one of the most skilled watchmakers of his generation, with a special focus on complications.

It does not come as a surprise that he was chosen to work and restore extremely fine timepieces for Patek Philippe.

He created the House of Franck Muller in 1991.

Pieces produced in the early years are particularly appreciated by educated collectors.

One of the most celebrated creations is the Sport Chronographe that was made as a limited edition of 50 pieces only.

The piece has a beautifully balanced design, with an elegant glossy black dial with silvered Breguet and dot indexes and outer scales. The three subsidiary dials sit nicely on the dial while the feuille hands add the final touch of refinement. The stainless steel case has harmonious proportions with very nice details, such as the stepped bezel and screw-down back.

It clearly transpires that Franck Muller took his inspiration from the finest vintage chronograph pieces to conceive this model that is one of his masterpieces.
