The launch of the Reverso Gyrotourbillon 2 was timed to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the Reverso from Jaeger-Le Coultre. At its heart is the Calibre 174, an evolution of the Caliber 177 found in the Gyrotourbillon 1. It debuted a cylindrical balance spring and double axis spherical tourbillon with outer carriage travelling at 60 seconds per revolution and constructed of lightweight aluminum and titanium and comprising of no less than 90 individual parts and weighing a third of a gram.

The case is crafted in the large iconic reversible case design so associated with Jaeger-Le Coultre and constructed of platinum with locking mechanism on the case flank. The result is astonishing and imposing, with the open-work layout allows the carriage movement to be admired from any angle thought the semi skeletonized dial. The hand wound movement is visible throughout, with the power revere indicator (calibrated to 50hrs) on the reverse.

Made in a limited series of 75 examples, each one is individually numbered on the case back (the current lot being 31 of 75) and cased in platinum. The watch is presented on behalf of a very important collector, in very good condition and is accompanied by its full set of accessories.

This truly exceptional piece is an exceedingly rare opportunity to acquire the ultimate version of the iconic Reverso, of of the most important wristwatch designs ever created.
