The vintage Longines chronograph using the calibres 13ZN and, later, 30CH are widely considered as some of the finest production of that time.
Their quality put them in direct competition with other prestigious Manufactures such as Patek Philippe or Vacheron Constantin.
This particular piece was imported to France in a stainless steel case to be fitted by the agent in a pink gold case. That practice was common at the time to avoid huge import taxes. In this particular case, it was clear that the watch was made for that precious metal, as it is demonstrated by the colour of the dial.
Consigned by the family of the original owner, it is an exciting opportunity to acquire a very high quality vintage chronograph with a most interesting history.
