Rolex introduced the new gold Daytona with ceramic bezel on Oysterflex at the 2017 edition of Baselworld.
It was simultaneously presented in yellow, pink and white gold, such as the present lot.
The model was an instant success as it was equipped with two of the most sought-after features: the Daytona ceramic bezel, first seen the year before on the 116500LN, and for the first time, the Oysterflex bracelet, introduced in 2015 on the Yachtmaster.
The 116519LN was particularly popular thanks to its grey and black dial, perfectly complementing the white gold case, black ceramic bezel and black Oysterflex.
It has, since then, been acclaimed as one of the best and most beautiful contemporary Daytona models.
