Tudor introduced the Heritage Black Bay collection in 2012 as part of their revival, the same year than the Pelagos and one year after the Heritage Chrono.
The Black Bay has played a central role in the new dynamic and positioning of the brand and has been their best seller for over 10 years.
The model was initially released with a burgundy bezel and later on with a blue one in 2014 and a black one the following year.
In 2016, Tudor introduced the new 79230, replacing the 79220, marking the use of the in-house MT5602 calibre, which equips the present lot.
This particular piece is part of a very special production dedicated to the State of Qatar, as it be read, both in English and Arabic, on the dial at 6 o'clock.
While no official numbers have been communicated, these pieces are believed to have been made in very small quantities.
Special dials, in particular those made for Middle-eastern countries are highly coveted by collectors from the entire world.
This example is presented in impeccable condition, still retaining its protective stickers and being accompanied by its original accessories.
