Introduced in 1985 as the first piece of the Trilogy series, this piece marked the beginning of the extraordinary partnership between Ulysse Nardin CEO, at the time, Rolf W. Schnyder and visionary watchmaker Ludwig Oechslin.

This wristwatch pays homage to the legendary astronomer Galileo Galilei and his groundbreaking astronomical discoveries. Renowned as the world's first timepiece to integrate all of the following complications: time of day, perpetual calendar, moon phases, moonrise and moonset, sunrise and sunset, dawn and dusk, signs of the zodiac, and Solar and Lunar eclipses. Its most remarkable feature lies in its ability to accurately depict the positions of the sun, moon, and stars as observed from Earth. Additionally, the dial showcases the Tropic of Capricorn. Remarkably, all these functions are controlled with a single winding crown.

Its design, based on the astrolabe, earned a place on the cover of the Guinness Book of World Records, solidifying its status as a marvel of horological innovation.
