A pioneer of contemporary watchmaking, Richard Mille has transformed the culture of independent watchmaking by constantly showcasing the best technical innovations, materials, and avant-garde case constructions. The RM010 is a highly desirable reference that perfectly embodies the identity of the brand.

The introduction of the RM 005 automatic timepiece in 2004 marked a significant milestone for the brand, garnering widespread success on a global scale. However, the landscape of the market evolves rapidly, and by 2006, consumer preferences were shifting towards larger case sizes. In response to this trend, Richard Mille unveiled the RM 010, boasting dimensions of 48 x 39 mm, a notable increase from the more discreet 38 x 45 mm dimensions of its predecessor, the RM 005. While the gear train remained unchanged, enhancements were made in the form of increased skeletonization for both the baseplate and bridges, elevating the technical and aesthetic qualities of the timepiece.

The pink gold three-piece case of this particular piece contrasts beautifully with the skeletonized automatic movement. This movement is produced and assembled by hand at the renowned house of AP Renaud and Papi in Le Locle.
