The Anniversary Langematik was released in 2001 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of A. Lange & Söhne's re-establishment in 1990. This exceptional timepiece showcases the renowned SAX-O-MAT movement, renowned for its unique feature that automatically resets the seconds hand to zero and immobilises it when the crown is pulled to the setting position. The name "SAX" pays homage to its Saxon heritage, while "MAT" stands for its automatic winding, and the enigmatic "O" represents the mesmerising zero-reset mechanism.
