Originally introduced to the Rolex lineup in 1992, the Yacht-Master has become an iconic example of Rolex’s ability to implement design and creativity with new releases. The current example, featuring a stainless steel case and platinum bezel was originally released in 1999, where Rolex referred to the combination of materials as Rolesium. Interestingly enough, the dial is also made of platinum. The use of platinum and steel together showcases a nice contrast between the unusual metal pairings.
The present lot is a fine example for any collector looking to add an understated, yet sporty, watch into their rotation.
