There are few things in watchmaking that go together more than Cartier and the Panthere design. Bold, identifiable, classic, elegant, and beautiful, all would be appropriate words to accurately describe the symbiotic relationship between the brand and the model line. The first Panthere wristwatch was released by the brand in 1983 and now range in size from mini to large and are offered in different materials, styles, and configurations.
Considered unisex by most, the Pathere has been adored by both men and women alike. Quickly, the Panthere became commonly seen in mainstream culture and was often spotted on the wrists of Hollywood royalty.
This lot, made of 18k yellow gold and set with diamonds around the bezel, is a nice example dating to the middle of the 1990s. Lot 444 is offered with its original sales receipt and a Cartier box.
