Rolex launched the Submariner 5513 in 1962. It was produced until 1989, making it one of the longest-lasting references in the Submariner family.
It is the most famous non-date Submariner ever produced by Rolex and a must-have in any collection.
Its design remained quite unchanged over 27 years. However collectors can differentiate the early gloss dials from the subsequent matte dials and finally the gold-circled index dials.
Over the years, this example has developed an attractive creamy patina to its indexes.
One will immediately notice that it is fitted with the celebrated "meter first" dial, adding to its desirability.
