The Nautilus reference 3710, introduced in 1998, was the first 'Jumbo' version since the iconic 3700 from 1976. Its 40 mm case size (measured from 10 to 4 o'clock) marked a shift towards the trend of larger watch cases. Unlike its predecessor, the 3710 featured a sweep seconds hand and an off-centred power reserve indicator near 11 and 12 o’clock. Its distinctive all-black dial with Roman numerals, departing from the traditional ribbed black-blue dials, added to its uniqueness. Discontinued in 2006 after a relatively short production run, the 3710 is now highly coveted by collectors.
