The Lange 1, introduced in 1994, holds the distinction of being the most iconic model from the brand. It is renowned for its unique and visually striking design, characterised by an off-centred dial layout and a prominent large date display.
The reference 116.032 Lange 1 Time Zone was introduced in 2005, adding another layer to the Lange 1 by including a second time zone. The main dial with the home time is decentred to the left, featuring a day/night indicator for the home time at the top and a running seconds indication at the bottom. On the right side of the dial, the power reserve indication and large date window are located. A small subdial on the bottom right-hand side indicates the second time zone, along with a day/night indicator for the second timezone. A little arrow in the subdial points to the city ring, denoting the wearer's timezone. The second time zone can be set by activating the pusher at 7 o'clock on the caseband, which also aligns it with the corresponding city, while the date can be adjusted using the pusher at 10 o'clock or by changing the time on the main dial. The Lange 1 Time Zone stands out as one of the most attractive dual-time wristwatches in modern history.
