Introduced in 2016, the redesigned Rolex Daytona 116500LN had a number of notable upgrades including a ceramic Tachymeter bezel. After nearly 30 years of absence, and most importantly 50 years after appearing for the first time on the 6241, the chronograph was re-united with its celebrated black bezel. This time, it was made in Cerachrom, a material Rolex introduced on the platinum 116506 in 2013 but in a chestnut shade.
Originally designed as a tool for professional race car drivers, the case protects an extremely precise caliber 4130 self-winding movement with a Paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and a 72-hour power reserve. Incredibly hard to acquire new at Rolex, never before a Rolex Daytona had been so popular already during its production period.
The model was eventually discontinued in 2023 boosting further its collectibility.
This Daytona is complete with its original Rolex Guarantee and presentation case.
The combination of the black dial and matching Cerachrom bezel intensify the sport allure of the model.
