The reference 3130, introduced in 1983, was inspired by Breguet’s pocket watch No. 5, originally sold to Count François Jourgniac Saint-Meard, a noble who miraculously survived the French Revolution.
Developed by Daniel Roth for Breguet, the 3130 features an elegant layout that includes a power reserve, moon phases, and a sub-dial at 6 o’clock displaying the date. This innovative design became a milestone for the brand, forming the basis for future models with added complications, such as the renowned reference 3310 with a perpetual calendar, launched in 1986. The 3130 is celebrated for its exceptional dial, featuring hand-made guilloché work that creates unique textures for each of its indications.
