(惲日初)白雲御冷風,知自帝鄉來。俄頃已萬里,橫過黃金臺。麗哉螭龍衣,搖曳上銀浦。岱嶽未肯藏,膚寸天下雨。元介姪孫成進士,口占誌喜。曲阿老人曇。鈐印:「東園外史」、「明曇之章」

〈教育部第二次全國美術展覽會〉,南京, 一九三七年四月

藏者略傳: 1. 潘延齡,字健庵,咸豐時期廣州著名收大家,其書齋松石齋搜集歷代名畫,蔚為大觀。 2. 羅天池(1805-1866),清代畫家,字六湖,一字窪湖,廣東廣州府新會縣人。道光六年(1826)進士,官雲南迤西道,與黎簡、謝蘭生、張如芝稱粵東四家。工書畫,精鑒賞。

註:本軸為虛齋龐元濟舊藏,並附藍釉「烏程龐氏珍藏」瓷軸頭,收錄於其著錄《虛齋名畫錄》,曾於1937年在南京〈教育部第二次全國美術展覽會〉中展出,後經羅天池、潘延齡遞藏。

此圖南田自識「為元介老姪賀」,並為父惲日初(1601-1678,出家法名明曇)代筆題詩,識「元介姪孫成進士,口占志喜。曲阿老人曇」,元介即族姪惲啟巽(1629-1686),年長南田四歲,康熙十二年(1673)二甲進士,由此知南田繪圖時四十一歲,正是書法畫風開始轉變時,也是作大幅山水的尾聲,所以是重要的參考作品。南田兄長在抗清時戰死,近三十後族姪考取功名侍清,父子同賀,喻為天降甘霖,圖中景象是雨過天清,可見遺民心態已漸改變,在此時開始寫染色花卉可信並非巧合。——〈節錄《玉齋鑒藏記——王南屏先生事略》〉
