A rare broadsheet map of eastern North America, published during the French and Indian War, and one of the most significant maps of the war published in a country not a protagonist. This copy is the second state, containing the inset of Fort Frederick, built in 1756-57 by the colony of Maryland. Johann Christoph Rhode was the geographer to George III.

A large example with wide margins.
