fitted with six decanters, engraved Aline, Comte de Chabannes la Palice, 1893
Height: 11 ¾ in., 30 cm
The caps are engraved as follows: Madère, Hérès, Malaga, Porto, Alicante, and Frontignan.
The applied ribbons and crest are engraved "ALINE, Comte de Chabannes La Palice, UYF, Prix Special des 10 Tonneaux, 1893."
This was probably won by Jean, Comte de Chabannes La Palaice (1871-1933), who sailed for France in the 1900 Summer Olympics. He was also an artist, specializing in portraits.
