of small size, the arched tablet-centred cresting above a door with Corinthian-capped pilasters and an original bevelled mirror enclosing a walnut interior with two adjustable shelves and three cedar-lined drawers, the sloping feather-banded fall with leather-lined writing surface and an arrangement of five drawers and pigeonholes, one drawer fitted for inkwells, the base with two short and three long graduated drawers, on bracket feet, the reverse with paper label inscribed in ink Cherry Garrard 16/9/59 and with inventory numbers 2411 and 131
