the base cast with an apocryphal four-character Jingtai seal mark

Height 36 cm, 14⅛ in.

Compare a related example with ‘lotus’ design in the Palace Museum, Beijing, illustrated in Compendium of Collections in the Palace Museum. Enamels 2: Cloisonné in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), Beijing, 2011, pl. 25; and a square vase with a closely related ‘taotie’ design also housed in the Palace Museum, Beijing, op. cit., pl. 31.
