A reprint of the earlier Zoppino editions, in a fine Roman binding made for an unidentified owner. The text is a loose version of Lucian's dialogues, based on Niccolò Leoniceno's translation from the 1470s.
8vo (153 x 92 mm). Italic type, 30 lines plus headline. collation: A-Z8 AA-EE8: 224 leaves (last leaf blank). Woodcut printer's device, woodcut illustrations. (Occasional light browning or foxing.)
binding: Contemporary Roman red morocco gilt (157 x 104 mm), central gilt lion stamp in a circle surrounded by a ring of small fleurons, outer frame of blind and gilt fillets with corner fleurons, spine with gilt title lettered longitudinally, gilt edges. (Binding slightly rubbed, corners and ends of spine repaired, joints creased.)
