Arabic manuscript on paper, 9 lines to the page written in large muhaqqaq in black ink, interlinear translation in small red naskh, verses separated by gold and polychrome illuminated roundels with Allah written in Kufic, khams and 'ashr marked by illuminated marginal medallions, each leaf with a surah heading in white thuluth on a gold and polychrome illuminated panel, laid down within later margins
