Edo period, 17th century


Sugata [configuration]: hira-zukuri

Hamon [tempering pattern]: broad notare gunome with some hitatsura

Boshi [tip]: slight kaeri

Nakago [tang]: suriage, one mekugi-ana

Habaki [collar]: gold, single clad

In shirasaya [plain wood scabbard]


Accompanied by a certificate of registration as Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu [Sword Mount Especially Worthy of Preserving], no. 2006466 issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai [Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Art Sword], dated Reiwa 2 (2020)
