Description
Sunny Brook Fine Old Rye Whiskey
Especially selected and reserved for the Union League Club of the city of New York, ullage: low shoulder
Sunny Brook was founded by three sons of a German-Jewish immigrant who settled in Chicago as a jeweler. Morris, Lewis and Joseph Rosenfield – who later promoted themselves as the Sunny Brook Boys – started out buying and packaging whiskey, but soon decided to buy and expand a distillery in Louisville. By 1904 it claimed to be the largest distillery in the world; that same year Sunny Brook Rye won a gold medal at the St. Louis World’s Fair. The brothers eventually relocated their headquarters to New York City, which may explain how they ended up creating this bespoke bottle for the Union League Club, a venerable social institution in Manhattan.
