of tubular form with oval section, both sides enameled en plein with two young ladies near turtle doves and an altar of love on a pale blue blue ground, a pedestal decorated with paillons and a banner reading 'Gage d'Amitié' below, applied with split-pearl set swags and ribbons, within a dark blue paillon border, the reeded gold sides engraved with vases decorated with split-pearls, the domed enamel lid fitted with a suspension loop, the fitted interior formerly containing scent bottles, apparently unmarked
