The Mavericks won the game, which was played at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, by a final score of 107-104. In a masterful performance, Doncic scored 33 points and added 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 block in the victory.

Luka Doncic made his senior debut with Spanish club Real Madrid in 2015 at only 16 years of age. Before long he became the best player in Europe, leading Real Madrid to a EuroLeague title in 2018 and earning EuroLeague MVP honors. 

The Dallas Mavericks traded for Doncic after he was selected with the 3rd overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. Though some questioned if his game would translate to the NBA, Doncic left no doubt during an explosive rookie season that saw him average 21.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 6 assists and win the 2018-19 Rookie of the Year award. 

He improved his production the next three seasons, all of which culminated in 1st Team All-NBA selections. In addition, Doncic made All-Star Game appearances in 2020, 2021, and 2022. His incredible talent and poise as such a young player has put the entire league on notice for what is shaping up to be a legendary career.
