From the Collection of Princess Hildegard of Bavaria, Duchess of Teschen, Archduchess of Austria-Teschen (1825-1864)


Fine suite of natural pearl and diamond pendants, circa 1864


Each set with a slightly baroque drop-shaped natural pearl, measuring approximately 11.60 - 12.45 x 17.10mm, 10.80 - 12.55 x 16.50mm, 10.05 - 13.30 x 15.25mm and 9.90 - 12.75 x 16.20mm respectively, capped with rose diamonds, fitted case stamped Emil Biedermann.


Accompanied by SSEF report no. 131217, stating that the pearls were found to be natural, saltwater.

Princess Hildegard of Bavaria, Duchess of Teschen (1825-1864) exchanged older jewellery pieces for this set of natural pearl and diamonds pendants. Shortly before she passed away, she gifted them to her daughter Archduchess Marie Therese of Austria-Teschen (1845-1927) in view of her wedding to Philipp, Duke of Württemberg (1838-1917).
