Description

Collection of gem-set egg pendants, Russian and Continental European, circa 1900 and later

A group comprising a pendant swing set with an enamel ladybird together with two commemorative pendants dated 1915 and five egg-shaped pendants: the first composed of labradorite feldspar joined to an orange guilloché enamel pendant; a bloodstone pendant decorated with the cipher of Tsar Ferdinand I of Bulgaria; a polished silver Easter egg pendant, likely Russian, with a blue enamel XB for ChristosVoskrese; a gold pendant set with step-cut emeralds and rose and cushion-shaped diamonds respectively.

The two World War I-era pendants commemorate the Battle of Ypres (22 April - 2 May 1915) in which Albrecht, Duke and Crown Prince of Württemberg, led his troops.
