NIKE, JORDAN BRAND CP3.XII-FERRARI SNEAKERS

Circa 2020

Widely considered one of the greatest point guards of all time, Chris Paul’s impressive NBA career has spanned 18 seasons and 5 franchises. The tenacious 6’ point guard has found success wherever he went. A 12-time All-Star, 11-time All-NBA selection, and 5-time NBA Assist Champion, Paul is well-renowned for his fearlessness and leadership.

In 2019, at the age of 34, Paul was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder for longtime Thunder great Russell Westbrook. With previous Thunder superstars like Kevin Durant, Paul George, and Westbrook no longer on the roster, the Thunder were not expected to make a playoff push in what many considered a rebuilding year.

But Paul wasn’t about to participate in a ‘rebuild’. He led a young Thunder squad to a 44-28 record in the pandemic-shortened season and the 5th seed in the Western Conference. Paul averaged 17.6 points, 6.7 assists, and 5 rebounds per game and was named 2nd Team All-NBA.

Sotheby’s is proud to present these Jordan Brand CP3.XII-Ferrari sneakers worn by Chris Paul on January 24, 2020. On that date, Paul and the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Atlanta Hawks 140-111 at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Paul registered 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists in the victory.

The sneakers have been photomatched by The MeiGray Group and are accompanied by a photomatch letter and graphic.
