This lovely Mugnier monopoly of just under 10 hectares of old vines is the largest monopoly on the Côte d'Or. In 2016, this has a strong, forthright Nuits nose, bringing in the floral and raspberry notes of the 1ers crus of Prémeaux. Lots of flesh and structure on the palate. Not a crime to drink now although it will live into the future. Serena Sutcliffe, MW

Part of a much larger cellar, this collection contains a selection of the most coveted names from Burgundy, the Rhône and other regions. It is owned by a passionate collector with a deep appreciation of the world's finest wines. The collector's love of Burgundy is evident in the comprehensive selection of Grands Crus and Premiers Crus from prestigious estates such as Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Domaine and Maison Leroy, Armand Rousseau, Roumier, Mugnier and de Vogue. To complement these benchmark Pinot Noirs, there is a vast selection of mouth-watering white wines from exceptional years, including parcels from Domaines Leflaive, Comtes Lafon and Etienne Sauzet. The same goes for Rhône wines, as the collection includes a rich range of bottles, magnums and double magnums from the Rhône's greatest names, from Domaines Chaves, Clape to the famous Château Rayas and Château de Beaucastel, including parcels of Hommage à Jacques Perrin. This cellar is a testament to the taste and reflects the character of the consignor, whose passion and knowledge are evident in the composition of this life-enriching collection of wines.
