Description

one filigree with swaged wire and crown finial, the other cylindrical, with swaged wire filigree and granulation, same Hebrew inscription on handles with additional Hebrew inscription around central scene of Esther before the King, fitted with scrolls, one with ink scroll border

Length: 5 in., 13 cm

Length: 6 ¼ in., 16 cm

Both pullbars are inscribed “Bezalel” and “Jerusalem.” One case is inscribed “Esther scroll.” The text of one scroll is mostly abraded but the other is largely intact, with some simple floral decoration on the first panel.
