The canvas is lined. The paint surface is stable and in good condition. Patterns of craquelure throughout. Under UV light, retouching to minor area of paint loss above enthroned figure and to the figure, to the top of the column at center; minor spots of retouching to upper left quadrant and in places below the nude figure; retouching to tear repair of approximately 14 inches extending from the lower edge at center; retouching to tear repair above the signature, approximately 4 inches in length; further areas of retouching throughout.
