Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797-1861), The Ghosts of the Heike Appear at Daimotsu Bay in Settsu Province (Sesshu Daimotsu no ura ni Heike no onryo arawaruru no zu), Edo period, 19th century

Ghosts of the formerly slain Taira clan rise from the ocean depths to attack Yoshitsune's ship off Daimotsu Bay in the province of Settsu. This was a particularly favourite subject of Kuniyoshi, who returned to this scene numerous times over his career.
