60.6 by 101cm. (23⅞ by 39¾ in.) including mount and frame

Ghosts of the formerly slain Taira clan rise from the ocean depths to attack Yoshitsune's ship off Daimotsu Bay in the province of Settsu. This was a particularly favourite subject of Kuniyoshi, who returned to this scene numerous times over his career.
