But more important to James, the NBA legend has returned the Los Angeles Lakers to their historical status as perennial contenders. After capturing the franchise’s 17th NBA championship in 2020, James led the Lakers back to the postseason again in 2021 and 2023. 

James wore this purple City Edition Los Angeles Lakers jersey in a thrilling 122-115 overtime victory against the New York Knicks on February 5, 2022 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. James put his stamp on the game with his fourth triple double of the season. His impressive stat line included 29 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists. 

A self-described jack of all trades, James has recorded 107 triple doubles so far in his legendary career. Only Russell Westbrook, Oscar Robertson, and Magic Johnson have accomplished the feat more times. James is currently tied with Jason Kidd at 4th on the all-time list.
