SIGNED BY PHILIPPE HALSMAN.
This photograph of Cassius Clay was taken by Philippe Halsman in 1963, and later included in various publications. On the reverse of the piece is Philippe Halsman's copyright rubber stamp and signature in graphite. This information can be seen through the perspex window on the back of the frame. Phillippe Halsman sold his archive in 1967, and the previous owner of the piece purchased it at that time.
Exceptionally rare. It is believed that only a handful of these were printed at the time.
