Black chalk and gray wash, with light vertical lines in black chalk, within gray wash framing lines;
inscribed and signed in black chalk, verso: te Overveen / E. van Drielst and met Elswoutshoek;
232 by 355 mm; 9⅛ by 14 in.
On the verso, Mr. Van den Broek wrote a fuller inscription, giving more detail of the location. He identifies it as the junction of the Elswoutlaan, and the Duinlustweg with the Brouwerskolk sluice to the right. The artist was facing west, and the dunes are clearly visible in the distance to the right.
