Paar Gartenskulpturen von Sphinxen mit reitenden Putten
Originally (probably) commissioned by Franz Georg von Schönborn (1682-1756, Archbishop-Elector of Trier from 1729 until 1756) in 1754 as part of the garden of the Kürfürstlichem Palais and Kaiserthermen, Trier;
Franz Anton Kayzer (1778-1867), acquired circa 1810, erected at the terrace stairs and in the garden of Gut Nieder-Trierweiler (which Anton Kayzer acquired in 1808);
thence by bequest to the family of the present owner (removed from Gut Nieder-Trierweiler in 1939 and stored in Würzburg, after WWII restored by the sculptor Josef Engel and re-erected in Haus Tobias-Cordes in Bünde)
