Named for famed American banker, financier, and gem enthusiast J.P. Morgan, morganite is gem-quality beryl with colors that range from pink to orange that result from the presence of manganese. This is a particularly large hexagonal crystal of morganite that has been naturally-etched over time to produce the beautiful organic sculpture seen here.
