The artist.

Glam Beckett — independent artist, creating bold, sensitive and evocative monochrome artworks. Art is her one true passion, and black color is the most effective mean of expressing her feelings and the realm of her imagination. Glam has always loved black color because it's incredibly compelling and eclipses anything surrounding it. She started her art journey with simple black ink sketches of sad girls and skeletons. With time her drawings became more complex and detailed, and she still uses just black and white colors for striking and contrasting composition.

"This artwork celebrates the power of solitude. We live in a crowded world with excessive use of social media, and it gets hard to stay completely alone and enjoy our own company. Solitude becomes a desirable state, allowing us to get to really know ourselves, feel all the emotions fully, and let inner creativity flourish. But at the same time the idea of a woman staying alone still has stigma and negative connotations attached."
