Acquired from the above by the present owner

A playful take on the age-old harvest scene, the present work employs an Escher-esque approach to space that maximizes the sheet. The artist’s sparse but consistent use of color further embellishes the composition, drawing the eye to a multitude of pockets within the scene. Here, Dufy takes his focus off of race tracks and seaside towns to document the interaction between man-made houses and rolling hills.
