Where acquired by the present collector.

This piscatorial still life features an assortment of fish, including a salmon steak, as well as a small conch shell, all arrayed on a wooden table. Though the monogram "i H." refers to an artist who remains to be identified, the painting was likely painted in mid-seventeenth-century Holland.
