height overall: 15 ¾ in.; 40 cm.

With Julius Boehler Gallery, Starnberg, Germany. 

The present work, depicting a nude athlete, was one of the most successful of Soldani's single figure compositions. Fine casts of this model are in the Bargello, Florence, the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum, Munich and the Hertog Anton-Ulrich Museum, Brunswick.
