Edo period, 19th century
each a woodblock print, and comprisng:
- The Chivalrous Chidorigake no Marinosuke (Otokodate Chidorigake no Marinosuke), from the series Harbingers of Spring; Portraits of Eight Famous People (Umegoyomi mitate hasshojin otokodate), signed konomi ni makasete Toyokuni ga (Pictured by Toyokuni, to my own taste), 1859
- Sukeroku, from the series A Mirror of Ancient and Modern Times (Kodai imayo kagami), signed Toyokuni ga (Pictured by Toyokuni) within toshidama cartouche, and Kunimaru ga (Pictured by Kunimaru), published by Ogawa Hansuke, 8th month 1860
- The actor Nakamura Shikan IV in the role of Danshichi Kurobei, from the series Mirrors for Collage Pictures in the Modern Style (Imayo oshi-e kagami), signed Toyokuni ga, published by Fujiokaya Keijiro (Shorindo) in 1859
