Apart from the usual Lange 1, Saxonia and 1815 lineage, one of A. Lange & Söhne’s hidden gems is surely the Cabaret. The collection was launched back in 1997 and it’s design is reminiscent to one of A. Lange & Söhne’s initial releases in 1994, the Arkade collection. As both releases are only 3 years apart, it is very unusual for traditional brands to experiment rectangular case designs in such a short period of time. However the 3-body case and aesthetic of the Cabaret spoke the difference and the potential of this collection has expanded into future complications.
The present Cabaret is made of noble platinum and featured the tourbillon which has the highest regards amongst all complications. In classic German fashion, execution in perfection is their motto as the tourbillon could be stopped by pulling the crown to ensure the most accurate time setting. The power reserve indication, running seconds and the digital date display on the other hand forms the perfect symmetry. Estimated no more than 250 pieces has left the factory, the collection is the first non-limited edition tourbillon in A. Lange & Söhne and was only produced for 5 short years. With artisanship and extremely collectible, it is the perfect choice for connoisseurs for an elegant piece of German watchmaking.
