In 2007, Vianney came up with a new addition to his Future Past collection: the Trio Grande Date. This watch challenges traditional watchmaking codes with a design that resembles a wearable gold ingot. It is quite hefty in weight, and Vianney's fascination with solid matter has led him towards a more austere and basic design. However, the watch's refined and casual style is enhanced by the subtlety of its finishing and the curved shape of its case. First time using a rectangular case in his career, the date display is shown by two separate apertures with two discs that enhances readability.

What is even more fascinating is that Vianney has added his own personal touch to the movement. Typically, quick setting the date requires external action on a correction pusher. However, the time setting and date display are entirely independent of each other on the Trio Grande Date, where setting the time would not advance the date. The day and night indicator on the main dial, on the other hand, prevents the date from jumping at noon. Turning the watch to its back, the movement is fitted with Vianney's patented "mystery rotor" to preserve a perfect view of the VH205 caliber through the display back. Very rarely seen in the market, it is an opportunity not to be missed to acquire one of Vianney Halter’s exceptional creations.
