The reference 5170 was released in 2010 as a successor to the highly celebrated Lemania-based reference 5070. It was among the earliest references to house the brand’s first in-house chronograph calibre, rendering the 5170 a significant moment of the brand’s transition from Lemania-based to fully in-house chronograph only movements. The chronograph function on the current reference is also exceptional in that it features an instantaneous jumping chronograph minute hand, a spectacle that represents fine power management and exceptional watchmaking.
