Patek Philippe

Reference 5004, introduced in 1994, enjoyed a production run spanning over 15 years until 2009. Building upon the design legacy of the popular perpetual calendar chronograph reference 3970, the reference 5004 takes a step further by incorporating a split seconds chronograph function. This additional feature allows users to measure the timing of two separate intervals, enhancing the watch's practicality and functionality. Powered by the manual winding calibre 27-70, reference 5004 represents the last complicated model, along with reference 5070, of Patek Philippe utilising an outsourced Lemania-based movement. In 2012, it was succeeded by the Reference 5204, which introduced an in-house calibre. Created in all four precious metals, the present example showcases an elegant black dial housed in a platinum case, which creates a striking contrast.
